CLINICAL DIRECTOR RURAL SERVICES

Job Description

 POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Rural Services Regional Director, the Clinical Director of Rural Services is responsible for the direct clinical management of all Pantano out-of-home placement and out-of-county clients as well as clinical oversight of all Pantano assigned clients in Cochise and Santa Cruz Counties. The position is located in Cochise County and works closely with the Santa Cruz County Clinical Supervisor.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Works in collaboration with CPS/ADOC/ADJC and other related agencies in developing clinically appropriate placement decisions for out of home placements.
•Ensures all appropriate measures are taken in regards to children being placed out of home and that discharge planning takes place immediately.
•Works in conjunction with AzCA, Blake and specialty providers to ensure clinically appropriate services are being provided to Pantano clients.
•Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating Pantano clinical positions.
•Provides weekly supervision and ensures that all supervision of clinical staff is performed appropriately and in a timely manner and with appropriate documentation.
•Staffs cases on an as needed basis
•Meets with Regional Director on a regular basis as necessary.
•Serves as a member of the Pantano GSA 3/GSA 5 clinical team that serves GSA 5.
•Attends meetings with other stakeholders on a regular basis as required.
•Ensures all State and RBHA standards related to clinical services are met by Pantano and its providers.
•Represents Pantano at meetings related to clinical issues and reporting information obtained from these meetings to the appropriate individuals.
•Attends DIRCT/PCJJC/CPSA/DJC courts as needed for network authority and authorization
•Develops treatment protocols as necessary and appropriate in collaboration with the GSA 5 Clinical Team and Quality Assurance.
•Performs other duties related to the overall clinical direction of Pantano in the rural area.


Skills/Requirements

 QUALIFICATIONS:
Education* and Experience:
•Masters Degree in social work, counseling or other related field
•Licensed as an Independent Practitioner
•Minimum of 4 years experience in clinical supervision and working with children.

General:
•Must have good verbal and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, visitors, and coworkers.
•Knowledge of Arizona behavioral health system preferred.
•Experience in treatment planning and maintaining clinical records.
•Computer knowledge
•Demonstrated good supervision and clinical skills
•Valid Arizona’s driver license and the willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment. Must meet minimum requirements of company insurance carrier.
•Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain a Class I Fingerprint Card.
